"Wait. Bugs? You mean this is that new... organic weapon? You're kidding..." Yujin exclaimed as he received the new weapon he had proposed. After all, he did play a part in creating this new organic-based weapon. With the Vulgus using the organic matter of the Colossi to raise the Legion of Breach recently, Albion Headquarters agonized over introducing a new weapons system to counter them. But facing the Legion of Breach armed with the Colossus Organic Matter was no easy task. After analyzing the organic material samples obtained from the Legion of Breach, Dr. Kate and Yujin argued for developing weapons that also used organic matter, just like theirs. Of course, it wasn't easy. Albion's developers lacked the know-how to develop biological weapons or even comparable organic weaponry. The solution came in the form of a very small insect. The Vulgus were attempting to use small creatures called the Shock Bugs as an energy source in the Axion Plains. Like other lifeforms in the Axion Plains, the Shock Bugs had been mutated by prolonged exposure to Void Energy, and could emit powerful energy from within their bodies. Albion's engineers had a different idea from the Vulgus. They proposed using these tiny insects not as an energy source, but as weapons themselves. With the help of ecologists, the engineers discovered a special hormone that controlled these insects. When guided into a firearm built from artificial organic compounds designed to mimic their natural nest as closely as possible, the insects settled in as if it were their own home. Fortunately, this hormone could be synthesized using the residual energy from fired bullets, so it didn't cause any issues with the firearm's operation. Furthermore, through numerous experiments and test operations, the engineers discovered that the Shock Bugs' bodies were saturated with Void Energy, generating shockwaves powerful enough to be effective not only against the Vulgus but even the Colossi. Everything went smoothly after that. The new weapon was approved and these tiny insects are being accepted as a new weapon. Perhaps, except for Yujin.
