  Welcome to The First Descendant Mutant Cell overview page.  

  • Mutant Cells are special enhancements equipped in Mutant Cell Slots. Activating the slot works like a normal node and does not consume Arche Tuning.
  • After activation, each slot must be unlocked once using 100 Fission Accelerants. Unlocking applies to all loadouts for that Descendant Group.
  • Fission Accelerants and ARC Genetic Scissors (used for extraction) are both obtained by defeating Sigma Sector Commanders on Normal or High-risk.
  • Equipping Mutant Cells is loadout-specific. Each loadout tracks its own equipped cells.
  • Every slot has a Socket Type, and only Mutant Cells with the matching type can be slotted.
  • Overriding a Mutant Cell with another one destroys the original, but has no cost.
  • Extraction preserves the Mutant Cell and sends it to your inventory but costs 100 ARC Genetic Scissors.
  • Resetting slots or Arche Tuning does not remove equipped Mutant Cells, but if the slot is reset, its effects won’t apply until reactivated.
  • Mutant Cells are obtained from Spoils Boxes, which you open and manually choose a cell from.
  • Spoils Boxes drop from Sigma Sector Missions: High-risk: 5% chance Normal: 2.5% chance Also a low chance drop from 400% Infiltration Operation commanders.
