Ron Manus was a Descendant and renowned as the knight of knights during the Apocalypse a hundred years ago. He is recorded as an esteemed figure who wielded a two-handed sword called the Axion-Caliber to fight against the Vulgus. It is therefore not surprising that a new two-handed weapon incorporating the latest technology bears his name.

For weapon developers tasked with constantly creating new weapons, the legendary records of Manus served as a great source of inspiration. They pored over his records, hoping to infuse their newly developed melee weapon with his fierce, valiant strength.

The core technology that made it possible was the Vibration Energy Collector. This small energy collection device could convert the impact generated when a weapon is swung into energy and store it, and enabled it to be released in a single explosive burst through the Descendant's Arche.

It allowed the Descendant wielding this weapon to unleash devastating destruction as if Manus himself had returned and the developers who tested it named it Deus Ex Manus without a second thought.
