This scout rifle, dubbed Frost Watcher, was a standard-issued weapon, designed to allow ordinary soldiers to operate the Chill Arche catalyst device attached to the weapon.
However, the Chill Arche infused in the weapon was too dangerous for ordinary soldiers to handle, as the skin of soldiers who touched the gun with their bare hands would instantly peel off. Even when used with specially treated gloves, frostbite was a common problem.
Moreover, even Descendants, who have Arche, found the gun too much to handle. Since the Chill Arche would course through their bodies, slowing their movements, only a handful of Descendants in Albion could handle the Frost Watcher properly.
But to those able to handle it, despite all of that, the Frost Watcher delivers deadly power. The bullets fired from this rifle passes through a specially forged barrel and when it comes into contact with the Chill Arche, it is transformed into a massive ice pick as sharp as a needle, which then attacks the enemy.
If the opponent is far away, the ice pick will get even sharper, digging into enemy's flesh and maximizing the effectiveness of the next bullet that makes contact. In effect, it turns the user into a callous watcher of the frost, observing the enemy's demise with an icy gaze.
