It is quite unlikely that anybody survived the tremendous explosion that occurred. Nevertheless, Esiemo emerged from that blast with a sense of pride. He allegedly donned a helmet made from a variety of specialized fire-resistant steel that had extremely low heat conductivity. As a result, Esiemo returned unscathed.
